    Why does google never leave my website?

    Why does google never leave my website? In 4 days it used 180MB of bandwidth. Nothing that going to kill me but still it never leaves.

    Maybe you want them to index your page or you could block them? You could also set a robots.txt

    Are you referring to google bots? Are you certain that its google eating up your bandwidth?

    if it is google bots, then DO NOT block them through robots. It is indexing your pages and is a good sign only.. google likes your website very much it finds interesting content i suppose :-)

    Have you setup your site with Google Webmaster Tools? If so have you set a custom crawl rate? This could cause Google to crawl your site at high rates.

    Its a good sign actually SEO wise. If its eating up your bandwidth, you could always use robots.txt file and disable SE robots to access your images and flash files. It will surely saves you a lot of bandwidth.
