What do you mean by "without having to go through cPanel?" You don't have to log into cPanel itself to access webmail. Webmail can usually be accessed via http://yourdomain.com/webmail. However, that is cPanel's webmail interface where you get to choose the webmail program after login. If you mean using RC's own default login page, I don't believe there's a way to do that with cPanel.

webmail is on the subdomain mail.yourdomain.com/webmail by default if you try modding the configs it would most likley cause problems but anything is possible

You can install RoundCube very easily, just create a subdomain and then put/install RoundCube in the root of the subdomain folder.

    Hope this helps.
