Off page make the base stronger, and on page is building on it, so i think both are beneficial. In terms of keywords off-page SEO is used for on-page SEO technique.

Well, off-page SEO should coincide with on-page SEO to have a better ranking chance. For instance, when the page is optimized for "business management consulting services" keyword phrase, then the link building should focus on this same keyword phrase when linking to this page, and not use something like "business to business" which deserves another page.

On and off page are both important and both contribute to the final result. The keywords used in the on-page SEO should be used as anchor text for off-page SEO.

Couldn't have said it better. They both need to be relevant to the theme of your site and your products and services.

both are important for SEO. They are like wheel of a cart if you try to work with only only one you can't succeed in walking in that way.

I believe that off page SEO is much more important that on page SEO but I'm not saying that you should disregard on page SEO. As long as you have the basics for on site optimization (such as H1 tags, title tags etc) it should be fine and then focus the rest of your time and budget on link building and networking.

Hi Jonola, Both On page and off page are related with each other. On page in itself is not enough. You have to do off page to promote your products and services.

For good SEO results, an expert will focus on the on-page SEO first that involves website contents; after that off-page SEO will provide benefits. Here off-page SEO involves good quality backlinks from different platforms.

On-page optimization means Optimizing in your page like Meta Description, Meta Keywords, Keyword Density, Image tag optimization, Header and footer, etc.

Off Page Optimization means Promoting, which can be done off the pages of a website to improve search engine ranking for a targeted keyword which is relevant to your page content.

Keywords have relation between on-page & off-page Optimization.

Has anyone had any experience with one of those 'link building' services that create 'spun' versions of an article and submit to multiple directories, post on blogs, etc? Would you recommend such a service?

In order to have success you need to apply both on page and off page seo factors. Your internal linking should also be set up correctly. Once you have a perfect system for both of these then you should do just fine.
