    * Making it hard to print TOS / AUP

    Is it just me or do you find that most TOS/AUP pages are unprintable. I've come across so many that end up cutting off sections, flowing off the print page, etc.

    Maybe it's a WHMCS limitation, or the inability of that one web designer everybody uses to setup a print-css... or both! I'm almost to the point of believing its some evil conspiracy by the legal departments of all host providers to make sure we don't have a copy of the agreement.

    I agree. Service providers please enable your service documents into a printable form. If you stand behind your service then the "handout-ability" of your documents should be a no-brainer.

    I'd also like to see more service providers make the effort to notify customers of changes to these documents.

    Yea, I totally agree with you 100% . most providers have there ToS / AuP page written in a way were no one could just go visit the page and click the download page without having a nice printed page.

    Also agree with the fact that companies these days go and when they edit there ToS or AuP they notify all clients with a newsletter email from there support script and or billing script stating what's has bern changed or removed from the documents.

    Selection print also works. I know. But one could also say the code below is also an option.

    Code:
    <link rel="stylesheet"
       type="text/css"
       media="print" href="print.css" />

    Yes I often had the actual legal content in a separate file - I'd then include that in a nice page with the header, footer and rest of the design, and also offer a direct link to the simpler "content only" version.

    It really annoys me when I go to print one (or even just 'print' as a PDF) and it returns one page, with the first two sections, and that's it!

    Rather then printing the page, select all the text and print selection. Works ten times better, prints the text like it would copy&pasting into word.
