How to Veriffy that DNS Cluster is Working?

    I've setup a cpanel dns cluster with cpanel/whm & cpanel/DNSONLY

What's the best way to check that it works properly?

(there is a green checkmark in the cluster settings on my web whm box and my dnsonly whm box but I'd like to have another way to validate).

    Thanks.

    Run nslookup *yourdomain.com* %NS IP%

Where %NS IP% is each IP of each NS.

Go to http://intodns.com and enter one of your domain names on your cPanel server. The resulting report will tell you everything you need to know! If you have questions, post the output here and everyone will chime in with suggestions.

thanks. everything is green except for "parent: domain ns records" and "ns: ns records for your nameservers" which have blue exclamation points.

But both ns1 and ns2 are listed at the correct IPs.

So other than those "!'s" everything looks ok (I think).

    Thanks.

SOA is suggested to follow the form of YYYYMMDDXX with XX=revision of the day, so your first edit of the zone file today would be 2011021801
