Explaining bad bandwidth vs good bandwidth...
I hear a lot about good bandwidth, and bad bandwidth from many providers that our company interacts with. Cogent is regarded as offering cheap, but bad bandwidth. Compared to providers such as AT&T who give good bandwidth.
How can one understand what good bandwidth is, and what bandwidth is? How is this explained?
Thank you for the help

Bandwidth in this context would refer to the connection for your server to the internet. What is considered good and bad would refer to the quality of that connection.
Think of it as your telephone connection, really it is about the same. A good telephone connection is one which you could pick up and call anyone at anytime, and there is no dropouts, sudden disconnections, crystal clear voice quality and you can call out each time you want to make the call. Bad would be anything opposite to this.
When they talked about good bandwidth, it probably refers to one bandwidth provider which is reliable, without the latency, does not have ping dropouts and you get the speed and connection which you paid for. It is also one which is well connected with nodes and connections with other bandwidth providers.http://www.batchimage.com - Offering Batch Image Processing and TIFF/PDF Software Solutions
