Alexa.com has some info on this, also if you type link: into a yahoo search before the site name you can get page and link counts. As in: "linkampledomain.com" while this may not be 100% accurate, it is more than enough to compare websites effectively.
apparently a colon and then an s is an emoticon... i meant link(colon)sampledomain.com

Reason: my text was turned into an emoticon
There might be also another option and that is to use certain sitemap making applications or types of software. Since they would pay a visit to all accessible parts of designated websites, so you will learn of the number of pages created within structures of domains.
Search Engines may index, www.yourdomain.com separately and http://yourdomain.com seperately and would have index different page ranks for that, which would become difficult to count the number of pages in a website.
If you steal from one author, itís plagiarism; if you steal from many, itís research
What a great question. Although we donít know of a tool that is designed to do specifically what youíre describing, we suggest you try an XML Sitemap generator. These tools are designed to create, basically, a list of all the pages on a site, so you could get the total number as a fringe benefit.
I think Httrack Website Copier may help to you. As it ask how many pages do you want to download and also show the total number of pages before to download. Thus you can get info about total webpages of a website.
Here is the link I found on yahoo answers(actually there are lots of websites talking about this question if you Google the question "how to find out how many pages a website has"): http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...3081146AAMXkQL, and I think it will be helpful.
