    WHM for Shared plan

Would like to know if there are any reliable hosts that provide WHM access to manage multiple domains on a Shared Plan?

There are some hosts that have leveraged the cPanel API to extend reseller-type features to "shared" hosting. Although, really you are just dealing with semantics with shared hosting vs. reseller hosting. There isn't a difference aside from how it's marketed.

Site5 is one host I know who markets "multisites", which are websites under 1 account, each with their own control panel.

Why not just get a reseller plan if you intend to have multiple domains/websites?

I don't sell, but maintain my own sites. So price is an issue.

What is your budget? Reseller plans are not that expensive compared to shared hosting.

Most shared providers will not allow you WHM as an option in their packages especially on a "Shared Account".

I wish you luck in finding one, though sadly you are better off looking at a Reseller package that will suit your need for the use of WHM.

Even if you do not resell services, many won't allow it.

You could get a small reseller plan for that price somewhere. ResellerZoom offers a plan for only a dollar or two more than that.

I also think you should shift to Reseller or VPS Plan...

That's better to have a VPS account on your case. That's difficult to find a reliable shared plan which is able to meet your needs, smartcard.

How and why does he need a VPS? Care to give some input to the reason he would need a Virtual System?

WHM on a shared account is certainly a rarity. Apart from site5 (already mentioned) the only others I can remember offering this are dotable and axishost. All above your budget though I think.

Why the need for WHM anyway?

You would get WHM if you get a shared hosting plan with reseller option - web hosts must be able to provide this.

Yes Sean, I saw that. But as you know, many people do manage to maintain several of their own websites on a single shared hosting plan without WHM, using addon domains in cPanel or the rather more elegant multi-domain options in other panels. At that budget I suspect a (non-WHM) shared plan would probably be a safer bet than a rock-bottom priced reseller.

I have to agree with you, it would be more a wiser solution "In General" as opposed to a a cheap and possibly un-reliable reseller account.

I suppose there are services out there that will offer "WHM" under a shared environment, even though not something I'd highly approve of there a certainly ones out there that will manage this.

Wouldn't it be easier to have all the websites in the same account anyways instead of multiple cPanel accounts?

Agreed.. How many websites/domains are we talking about? If it's less than 15, I would just use a regular shared cPanel account and have addon domains (until the need to upgrade to VPS or higher).
