    Shopping Cart for Web Host?

    Hi!

I am working w/ a new webhost to create a shopping cart for the site. I've made a successful integration with Google Checkout, but organizing it on the back end is tricky. So I decided to just try to use a shopping cart instead.

What is a good shopping cart for selling web hosting and utilizing Google Checkout? I want to be able to have the customer order the hosting in the cart, have GC do all the payment stuff and then receive notification when the payment has been charged and trigger an event to build the hosting package.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks!

Web host client or company? If this is for a company, then WHMCS or Hostbill or Clientexec.

If you want something which auto provision the package on the server when the payment is make, you need the hosting client tools as IntelHost mentioned.

WHMCS is usually a safe bet, not only for Google Checkout, but the countless other payment gateways and processors that they support.

WHMCS would be the best choice due to its large community.

HostBill is a cart you should also definitely try out.

As others have said, definitely take a look at WHMCS.

+1 for WHMCS. Most stable and easiest billing software for a hosting company. Their customer services is also fantastic.

I would suggest WHMCS and ClientExec, both are great.

Blesta here, great support, pretty easy to customize and hook up to any non standard things you might be doing.

We use HostBill simple and neat. We just moved in from WHMCS.

HostBill has nicer ordering forms, in my opinion, but they are a fairly new company compared to the other major players and that makes me a bit uneasy. They do have an extremely fast development cycle and that is a bonus. I think in a year from now, I would probably give HostBill a try. (I think HostBill also supports more payment gateways and software than WHMCS... give them both a try, they have demo's on their website and see what works best for you.)

I would suggest you compare the features between these two and find out which you most like and fit your requirements. We are happy with HostBill and so i would suggest HostBill is better. nb: Further HostBill support is very good comparatively.
