Of-course php is the best, as php is open-source language that's why totally free of cost and right now, it is the most widely used programming language for web applications across the world.

You can't beat php for simplifying incredibly hard concepts (in my opinion), but other languages that require a lot more work to code can be faster (although I still love me some PHP action)

That aside, I've had a lot of fun coding with C#. Some of the built in function sets don't even make sense, but there's something special about making a windows program work...and watching simple errors lock up an entire os

COBOL is my favorite. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to continue after college.
The programming approach is really different compared with other languages.
Oh my! I really miss this language.

I'll always have a special place in my heart for Object Pascal a la Delphi. But, now a days, since pascal isn't exactly a "modern" language, I primarily use PHP.

I use PHP the most, I love Java but have never used it for anything serious. Did some Prolog a few years back that I enjoyed, completely different from anything I have ever used.

My favorite is PHP for its simplicity and flexibility.

  34. #34
I definitely have to say PHP is my absolute favorite. It is very flexible and seems to be one of the most popular languages offered by hosting providers. I have been working with PHP for the longest time and am learning more and more every day.

I like what I've seen of PHP, but I dont feel that I'm skilled enough to offer professional work in this area yet

I don't find it as easy to work with as HTML/CSS - I don't know if you'd class these as a programming languages but I would say that they are web programming.

I do most of my work in PHP. It feels like C++, while adding some convenient features. It also has an extensive library of functions that are available out of the box.

For web development diffidently php, I did do some asp.net with C# but microsofts IDE is so frustrating, esp using databases!

For software I mostly do Java, great OOP implementation!
