    Writing it off?

    Heya,

I'm curious about writing off domain registration fees/hosting fees. I'm getting into the domain business, and was planning on just starting a small-in-home business that my domains would be registered with. If I start a business, and pay business license fee, but dont sign up as a LLC/Corporation, and then put my domains in the business name, would I be able to write off the fees?

PS: I know your not accountants/tax professionals, I'm just asking.

You can still count stuff as business expenses even as a sole proprietor, they're expenses like any any other, phone bills for example.

You can file your business taxes with your personal taxes in this case. TurboTax takes you through step by step in this process.

Yes, you could do this as a sole trader, at least you can in the UK.
