    Ecatel.net [slow responding]

    Does anyone know if Ecatel.net is still in business? I tried to order by talking to their sales/info team but they are extremely slow getting back to me and can't answer a single question I ask them when it comes to hardware availability.

    we are not out of business! I just posted a new offer here on WHT too What is the ticket ID? then i check whats going on. Replies should be quick, if not something is wrong.

    Why do people on WHT always put "out of business" when someone doesn't respond fast enough? It's really annoying to continually see it as a way to get attention.

    There can be a problem! maybe his e-mail did end in our spamfilter. We dont know it yet and are waiting for TS his reply. But we are definitely not out of business, everything is going very well!

    I get that, it could be anything. The point was relating to why people make up such things when it's pretty clear you are not going out of business, the tiniest bit of research would have shown this and more importantly if they really wanted to contact you it could have easily been done using other methods which would have definitely shown you are available.

    It grates on me these "out of business" attention grab threads that turn up here.

    I agree with you but since they really do not have a website or any information at all about the company (Since the start of the company I think which has been years?) it looks like they are not in business and there really is no other form of communication other then the single email listed on there site.

    Many other hosting providers also only offer E-mail as only way for communication. We simply do not offer phone support. Regarding our site, we get this fixed immediately. we have made some changes see http://www.ecatel.net/ now. There is a link to our helpdesk system (which was already there). Now there is a link to our noc page, a link to our network monitoring page. And a link to the contact page of the new website which is still under development.

    Ecatel got back to me. Apparently the question I asked them based on the availability of certain hardware too some looking into, which is why the response took so long.

    Also, before when I spoke to support about general questions about Ecatel's services, the responses were pretty quick, which is awesome!

    Anyway, this topic can be closed. I've already worked things out with Ecatel and look forward to working with them. I'll post my experience sometime in the future.
