    Lightbulb Reliable hosting reviews

Hi, I am in a process of choosing shared hosting company. For some hosts that interests me I wasn't able to find enough reviews here or those that I found were not clear enough (example: customer is complaining but it seems it's his fault for not being satisfied).

So my question is, are you aware of any other source of reliable hosting reviews? Don't direct me to top hosting sites.

    Thanks!

Your visiting the best resource for finding reliable hosting reviews right here. You will find most review sites out there are affiliate schemes or paid reviews.

I'll give you the same recommendation I give everybody, Arvixe and HostGator. Arvixe is cheaper but slower support. HostGator's live chat is real quick but they cost a couple bucks more.

Parse numerous resources -- no different if you were doing research for an article or essay. Don't rely on a single one, as there could be bias anywhere -- even here.

I would say that WHT is probably the best place to read honest reviews by end users of a service. One thing to note, most happy users don't take the time to write a review. Most unhappy users do find the time. Now, just because that is generally the rule.. if you see a whole lot of unhappy reviews, that's a sign.

My advice is the same for everyone..

Find a small list of hosts you like.

Search for reviews on all of them. See not only what other people are saying, but how the host is handling any issues if the review isn't all sunshine.

Contact each host and get a feel for how they do business and whether or not it meshes with how you do business.

I would avoid review sites becuase they often offer "top host rankings" to hosting providers that pay for those spots. As others have stated, these forums are probably your best source for honest and reliable reviews.

Why should you check any hosting reviews website. WHT's database is full of reviews. Just pick up a few providers, compare services and pricing and send your requirements to them.

Just read a lot of the posts here and when you see something interesting go to their site and see if they have what you need. You can also use the search here to find ou5t if many of the posts are good feedback or {rants" about them being terrible. Happy Hunting

Don't always check reviews. You can make your own.

WHT is by far the best place to find reviews because many of the fake reviews are caught. Some reviews may be unfair, but normally you can figure this out from the discussions that follow.

I think that the best way is ask your web hosting company (prospective one) allow you to get in touch with their existing customers and ask how everything is going.

You're already at the best place.

You may take a look at hosting reviews at HostJury.com as they are definitely from legitimate clients with their overly strict verification methods. You can however ignore their "top 10" listing as the list is a little bias.

For me,I will not fully trust the reviews.
I will just ask the sales for more specific information since preference may vary for different people.

Just search WHT for 'shared hosting review'. You will find a LOT of them here. Good luck with your process.

OP has already done this. He was sharing some concerns after his research.

@OP: I would like to say that WHT is one of the better places to get reliable reviews. It's because it has got some what accurate verification mechanism and some real experts. I have a similar opinion as Jay H said. Most of the happy customers would not share their reviews generally. But it's almost sure that one with a bad experience will be here to post his experience. So the things is that you should take all reviews with a grain of salt and by a thorough analysis you may be able to reach to your own decision.

As others have said, here is probably the most reliable place for hosting reviews.

You're right to search for plenty of reviews. Never trust one or two, as they may be a particularly fussy customer or one of the few who hasn't had any problems. To build up an accurate picture I think you need at least ten reviews.
