Do I need to upgrade from Shared hosting

My website: http://www.DownloadFormsIndia.com has touched now 1000 unique visitors daily ( 4000+ page views daily) and downloads touching 1.5 GB/day. Also traffic daily increasing since it's a new site.

I'm not allowing any logins -- only downloads of forms/docs.

Is it the right time to move to VPS?

As I've some other websites hosted too.

    Plan Name: Shared hosting
    Charges: $6/month
Details: 32 domains max with unlimited bandwidth, 32 mysql db with each maximum 70 MB.

    Anurag,

Are you experiencing any problems currently with your shared hosting account?

When it's time for you to upgrade your host provider will inform you. So I don't see the need for you to rush to do so.

If you believe in "Unlimited" spaces and bandwidths, then you shouldn't have problem in the first place.

Please contact your current host and clarify things with. They should be able to advise you better.

    All the best

Your host will probably let you know when it gets too much for a shared account. They wouldn't want you on a shared account if you are using too many resources.

If you make money out of your websites, I would say that it was a good idea to consider a move to a VPS.

There isn't really any reason to move unless your having problem with your current hosting, so to answer your question, No you don't.

In theory, yes. In reality, there's a good chance they may just pull the trigger and suspend your account, with all the sites you have on it.

As long as the server performs nicely, the host has no reason to complain or take action. Once the server gets overloaded, the host will have to look at the causes. If there are a couple of heavy users on the server at that point in time, and you happen to be one of them, you're a fair candidate for a temporary (sometimes permanent) account suspension.

Hmmm... if your provider still provide the good service and reliable, I think you dont need to upgrade.

Sometimes even with a good traffic, it doesn't use a lot of resources because of good maintenance and optimizations.

You can wait and see what your host says or you see your site slowing down.
Then you can make the move.
