Are you looking for an individual or a team?

If you're looking to offer 24/7 technical support, then you would need multiple people assisting or you can outsource it. Some providers that come to mind are touchsupport.com, xesupport.net, assistanz.com, xieles.com, supportlobby.com, cliffsupport.com, serversitters.com

If you're looking for individuals, check out the 'Employment' section of this forum. Good luck!

What is your budget? What do you define cheap?

If you are looking to outsource support I would start here: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/wiki/C...g_tech_support

Then once you narrow it down to a couple companies I would check reviews on the forum.

Never go for cheap outsourced support for your new business, it may ruin your business.

Exactly. You get what you pay for, and if you want to scare your clients away from poorly typed support responses with little to no actual information then go cheap.

If you want to provide quality support, the ideal solution (even for a one man show) would to cover support YOURSELF for 12 hours a day, during your busiest times. You could then use a company that offers support for 12hours, which would give you time to sleep and enjoying your personal life.

The interaction between customers and company is so vital and should not be skimped on. There are many outsourcing solutions that you should consider, and the cheapest one is likely NOT going to be the best one.

Just some food for thought, good luck!

From personal experience, many of the hosting companies who provide good support do not outsource it. Direct interaction with customers gives you a better understanding of the market.

But when you are starting your new hosting, its always better to appoint your own technically sound person to manage outsourced team performance as some time lack of technical knowledge will cause many problems. Outsourcing basically save huge money for you and as beginners in web hosting its always better to start with outsourcing company, so that you can survive in web hosting field long time.

I'd look into hiring people off www.odesk.com. Several of our customers have quite a few great people they found off there.
