Google paying $20,000 to exploit Chrome

Sounds like Google is pretty confident in their browser...

They've been doing this for a while I think, not as much as $20k though.

It's actually getting to the point where you could almost switch now - tons of great plugins are finally making their way to Chrome.

Also an acquaintance was saying that the $20k is a bonus, on top of the other bounties... so if you fulfill another bounty, and have the sandbox escape, you make more than the $20k. It's great because it makes people think about selling it to Google instead of selling it to malware authors, which is excellent for everyone except the malware authors.

That is pretty cool. Do you know what the other bounties are?

I think it's still the $500-$1337 bounties for security bugs - as far as I gather it's all still running. If you want the $20k though you've got to have the ability to escape the sandbox as well.
