phpbb or Invision board? Which one to choose?
Just wanted to know which one of those two you recommend. Which one is the easiest to manage and which one uses less space. In other words, which one's your favorite board?

Invision's administrative panel is alot more in-depth and customizable whereas PhpBB's is pretty minimal. Either route you take, you'll be running a great forum system and at a nice price.

Oh, I forgot to say, wait until they release the next bugfix though... That way, you wont have people crying that they have to upgrade...

Invision,
I love PhpBB. I haven't had any problems with it at all.

Invision Board. It loads so much faster, looks better, and has a great control panel with a lot of features.

Invision all the way. I ran some basic query tests with Invision and PHPBB, and Invision was doing about twice as many queries per second.
Atleast on my setup.

Why not offer both? Is it that much harder to do that?

I've set-up PHPBB quite many times and I have to say it rocks! It's the best free board out there. Also, ther is IkonBoard @ www.ikonboard.com. I've set it up also many times. These 2 are the best 2 free ones around.
Of course if u wanna pay, UBB is the original and most expensive (had a license back in 99), but I'd choose Vbulletin....
Now why can't Vbulletin be free ? LOL
Thanks
Dave
