Wow...that has to be the worst job of ripping a site I've ever seen.
As for Xgamer.net, I plan to try them out fairly soon here...right after I decide if their server packages or colocation would be more cost efficient for me. I did send them email with colocation questions which went unanswered (This was before Christmas) but I did get my answers by posting in another thread which was promptly answered by them.

I've already emailed the xgamer.net admins. As for pczgaming.com, the owner is only out to steal money from people.

They keep ignoring questions about allowed BW usage like the plague. Even fdcservers said you can expect to get about 3 MBit/s off of their $99 servers

xgamer is a one man operation and I'm sure he's very busy setting up customers. From the posts I read from some of his current customers it is truly use as much bandwidth as the machine can physically push. He hasn't kicked netdude for using an average of 6Mbps yet and said that he would not

no, he said he had only one chargeback yet, not that he won't kick netdude off. Besides that, netdude might just be the one reference that he needs - for now - to pull more customers in, making them believe "anything goes". Question is what is gonna happen down the road, can he deal with more than one netdude, and how long will he deal with netdude when he got enough low BW customers. He ignored several clear questions about BW usage and caps etc.. And when someone said "can I be capped to 10 so that I won't be kicked off when one of my customers pushes 10 average or so" he didn't say "no I won't cut you off for 10 MBit average", instead he said "I can cap you to 1 MBit as well"

I read through that entire post last night (ok early this morning) and could find no reason NOT to at least give that place a try. That is if I had a site that needed even close to that kinda bandwidth.
I'm just guessing and speculating here...BUT...it kinda sounded to me as if he had a boatload of gaming servers, which go unused a good 80% of the time. He had all this bandwidth he was paying for with no one to use it. So decided to get some extra revenue and actually use the bandwidth at the same time.

see, that's my point. All we can do is guessing and speculating. Putting that unheard of and ridiculously broad "Unmetered Uunet !!!" & "100 Mb/s Full Duplex" & "you are only limited by the hardware" up there and not really further claryfing it.
Only clarification was that their servers "aren't capable of using much bandwidth, and are typically used for running a gameserver and a website". I fail to see how their cheapest $175 server would have any problems to fill up a 100 MBit line. The question remains where is the cutoff point.
And their website STILL says 10 MBit, not 100 MBit.
Xgamer 12/21/2002, 16 days ago: "Last but not least, 10 Mb/s is also a typo that should read 100 Mb/s Full Duplex. "

That has confused me recently. Xgamer.net used to be setup for a game server hosting site. Now it's pretty much dedicated and colo. Wonder what happened to the game servers. When he first posted here he was selling dedicated boxes for running game servers for $135 - http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showth...threadid=85186
Wonder what happened to those

Does reselling $1200 worth of 10Mbps UUnet bandwidth and get $175.00 back from customers make any sense to you?? If yes, Xgamer won't kick anyone out. You knew the answer already.
You can not get something for nothing.

That really depends on the content you're serving.
But really, if you're in the business, $175 shouldn't be a big deal to give them a test run. Talk to some of your highest bandwidth customers and tell them you're going to test out a new datacenter. Let them know that you can say...double thier bandwidth for the same price you charge them now if they take part in the datacenter test.
I can't really see a downside in trying. I really wish i was in a bandwidth crunch, I'd hop on it.
