Question

Is it against the rules to cross post?

Hi. Earlier I registered as DueDiligence and made a post to the Web Hosting Forum. Then I double checked the rules to make sure it was OK to cross post, and after checking I posted similar messages to the Reseller and Running A Web Hosing Biz Forums.

I posted to the three forums because the post seemed relevant to each, and I tried to modify the post a little bit to better fit each forum.

My posts to the Web Hosting Forum and to the Running A Web Hosting Biz have been deleted. I assume that was a legitimate administrator action, but if not, here's a heads-up.

If cross posting is discouraged, I'd suggest making it plainer in the rules.

Thanks for the use of the forum. It's been fast, and it's been easy to learn how to do things (despite the cross-posting question).

Cheers! Steve

No, but Yes

I see what you mean by not being in the "rules." However, it has become an established and respected "no no". Generally, a moderator will combine the threads when done without malice or intent as you did.

So, since an invisible rule, guess any slap should be on an invisible wrist.

Good luck with your future posts.

Pretty much covered it. The reason is that there's no point in having the same discussion happening in multiple places, started by the same person. Hard to follow for members, hard to follow for thread starter, not to mention just redundant all around.
