hi all
i try to fine best way to protect from ddos.
i found some ways:
install this script:

inetbase.com/scripts/ddos/install.sh

install csf(+lfd)
is it good for this?
is any body know about dface , say it here. i use direct admin. but i thing it is very poor for security .

You should be able to handle a very small ddos attack with your current setup. Software is only good until the server/vps gets overwhelmed and eventually just crashes the software. The best bet is to have a provider who does not mind helping you out in this type of situation and null routing the traffic for you.

The firewall will do good, if the attack is not massive.

What type of attack and how big it it?

My take on this situation is that your host should be responsible for you in this case and help you. It shouldn't be your responsibility to spend all of this extra resource and build a huge security wall when your host should have included this already built in.
