Wiredtree.com With Swoopo Clone PHP SCript?
Hey, guys, Im starting a new site, and have decided this is the route I want to take. It will fall easily into my budget.
http://www.wiredtree.com/managedvps/
http://www.moneymakersnetwork.info/p...HP-Script.html
My questions are this:
Should I get any of the add ons?
Fantastico - [add $1/Month] [?]
RVSkin - [add $1/Month] [?]
Softaculous - [add $1/Month]
WHMCS - [add $10/Month] [?]
Litespeed Web Server - [add $12/Month] [?]
How will I go about getting a SSL and setting up payments?
Anyone know much about that swoopo script?
Will the wiredtree and script allow my site to be up and running and selling?

You won't really need Fantastico or any of those things, you can ask WiredTree to install nginx and apache, with PHP & MySQL and FTP and create your the e-mails...
I don't know if they will allow it. The SSL can be purchased with any seller, and you can ask them to install it for you.█ Diego Rodríguez B. - https://diegorbaquero.com

Fantastico and Softaculous are both script installers, so it makes installing things like Wordpress very easy. Up to you if you need it and you'd only want either or. No need for both. I'd prefer Softaculous.
RVSkin is just themes for cPanel, I believe. Don't think you need this.
WHMCS is a client billing/management software mostly used in the hosting industry. Unless you're planning on selling hosting of your own, probably not needed.
Litespeed is a web server which replaces Apache and offers greater performance and helps with load issues. I'd go without at first and if it's needed, it's simple to drop in and install.
WiredTree is fully managed and can help you set up SSL on your site. Not sure if they offer the SSL certificates, but I'm pretty sure they'll help you set it up once you purchase one.

Well, I don't know much about the script and what it's capable of, but I believe that's it. I'm assuming you've taken care of the business side of things, like credit card processing, hiring someone to install, modify, and maintain the script (if not you), getting a domain name, etc.

I mean how people are going to purchase on your site, like via PayPal or if you have your own cc processor.

Sounds like you still have more research to do.

Are you sure that a domain name comes with the purchase?

Ya, Im so confused on who to go with. I keep getting told to go with shared just to start, yet I need someone to run cronjobs every minute, and I want someone to fully manage, and as far as I know most shared do neither.

I wouldn't recommend that you start on shared hosting because of the type of site your planning to launch. It sounds like this site could be pretty popular. I think a low end vps should be able to do the trick. If you do want to just pick up a shared hosting account, that will be fine too as you will still be able to run cronjobs on the account (not sure who stated you couldn't). The other thing I figured I mention is that namecheap.com offers free ssl licenses with a domain purchase. If you need a domain, then check them out.
