Having problems with Virpus
We are having extremely difficult problems with Virpus virtual servers. It looks like that their main servers are either oversold or someone is really using all the resources.
We have only two test vps from them and all, even simple tasks are impossible to do. All vps's are pinging but that's it.

What simple tasks are you trying to do? I have a 512 with them and while there are slowdowns here and there, it runs well most of the time.
Have you submitted a ticket?

Simple tasks like trying to view .php page, or log into a test SolusVM admin panel. When testing before, the disk IO is very highly used my main server but when complaining, they were really not interested.
Now I have submitted a ticket few times, but no reply yet.Click yourself to Atrahost

I also got problems with them.
Got the 512Mb unmanaged. They promised 100Mbit.. But the server never passes 10Mbit on any download. Neither will it burst higher.
Contacted support and they told me it was OK. even though i provided them proof that it wasn't OK.

if I remember rightly 100mb line equates to 10mb down to achive 100mb down you would need a 1gb port to download (also assuming the sending server was also a) running at optimum and b) on a 1gb port as well c) everything in between was running at optimum.

Maybe you meant to write the speeds differently, I can confirm that when ordering I chose 1500GB with 100Mbit line but when downloading it's definitely capped on 10Mbit line and not 100Mbit.

It does look like your server is capped at 10mbit for some reason. Did they ever reply to your ticket?
Just ran on mine:

Actually the last ticket was sent pretty much 24hours ago when the VPS was down, since now there hasn't been any replies but the VPS happens to be up at this very moment.
But it's useless.. been waiting yum install mesa-libGL-devel for now 16 minutes.Click yourself to Atrahost
