Forget alienvps/alien layer, leave them along as they are "STILL LEARNING THE ROPES". I’ve got my silly server offline for more than 2 days and nobody answers my high property ticket.
I know, I shouldn't expect much from a budget vps provider with a few bucks per month, but I didn't experience worse service before.
Let's talk from the begining, I have purchased a ufo 1 vps from alienvps on dec 3rd, server is provisioned instantly but unfortunately I have be issued a PROBLEM IP ADDRESS, and it happens to be a offline vps. I wrote ticket to support, got my main changed 36 mintues later.
It just running perfect before 4 days later, I got my poor server offline again, support says "We had a problem with some IPs and the ones you were switched from were affected. Your IP will not need to change anymore", fine, not too bad for that.
A week later, I found out I can't start new thread but I still have tons of memory available, so I wrote to support, a whole day and 4 hours later, a support guy answered my ticket, I answered and pasted something got from google, 6 days later they said it should be fine but I still can't start any new thread.
Poor support doesn't make the worst part, I was editing a file with vim on dec 20th, and suddenly got a server halt broadcast message and server offline. I waited about five minutes for it boot up but it never happens to be online, so I logged into their solusvm control panel, tryed to boot up my server but failed. Just before I open a ticket, I noticed thay my main ip have been changed! No notification, no mail, it just happened like a simple reboot to them. Luckily its just a backend server for me so I have all my sites online for no more than 10 minutes.
Worst part comes, I got my vps stridently offline on 26th, and right before I post here, no answer for a high urgency ticket directly created in whmcs. I have my poor vps online again and uptime tells me it's tuned up 8 hous ago from the time I post this thread.
If any one need verification, I'm on ip 173.234.147.202.
Should I issue a charge back towards that poor company? I have never done that before because I believe one shouldn't expect much for a few bucks, but I can't bear that service, worst one for a geek who has been with nearly a dozen vps provider, even a one man company can do better.
