Thumbs up

Don't worry, resellers will be contacted, not the clients directly.
We are sorting thru the client list to figure out which accounts belong to resellers.

Hey, Duster ... It is within your power not to read anything about True Hosting if you so choose. If you don't like what you're watching, change the channel.

It seemed like a good idea to me to post the question about reselling in a separate place, so that it would get read and answered by somebody who wasn't tired of wading through the reams of sad tales in the other topic. I'm not interested in starting another long thread here, but I think you missed the point, in your rush to condemn anybody who joins in the criticism of True Hosting. Nobody forced you to click the link that brought you here.

Dustmaster (heh, you should call yourself that instead of webmaster???)... I think this post is 1) different in that it ISN'T another bashing TH thread like the others, and 2) since Burst has bought TH's clients, it would seem pointless to bash TH or even talk about them since TH ain't TH anymore. The past is irrelevent. Now it's time to bash Burst, (heh heh, juuuuust kidding Sean and the Burst Gang!!!)

Free your mind and your buttocks will follow!

Duster would'nt it make more sense if you rise above people who want to make fun of you don't bite and don't lower yourself to that level .

Exclamation

Its not about TH anymore than.

The entire point is to still put Petey/Davey/Brad/whatever up for lawsuits for his fraudulant activities.

Simply getting "bought out" is not a clean getaway.

Hey folks, with all due respect, there's plenty of information about True Hosting in several other discussions. You can't miss it. If you want to find out about them, just read. We don't need yet another one.

The discussion has spilled over into many that are unrelated to it and many of us are tired of it. Some people just don't know when to quit. A good time to do so is when a point has been made instead of bludgeoning people with it over and over again.

The only reason I suggest this discussion be ended here is that the whole TH furor needs to die down. The rest of us have alredy been subjected to spill over in several other discussions, and it may very well happen again unless those obsessed with them let it go.

Enough already, please.

The post wasn't spilling over into any other topics.

I think it is a good question and has nothing to do with the previous TH discussions.

There are others who will want to know what is going to happen to their accounts now that TH has been sold to Burst. And this might be a good place for former TH customers to look to, in case Burst hasn't contacted them yet. I am sure that "davey" hasn't bothered to tell them anything.

You have made YOUR point over and over again that you are sick of the TH stuff, yet you keep popping up in all of the TH threads putting in your two cents. Here's a tip...Don't click on things that say Truehosting.

Unhappy

at least my site wasnt teminated like i thought it would be if you guys truely succeeded in running them out of business.

BUT! my site has been unavailable for some period today (two hours i think, and when i try to ftp into my account it says 'host unreachable'). their control panel is ugly too, with less cool features than the one truehosting had.

is burstnet really a reliable service?

i cant get to their homepage, nor to truehosting.com with that updated information page. yesterday i was able to reach burst.net, but lots of their pages were unreachable or not found. not professional, in my opinion.

are they down a lot right now because they just acquired thousands of new accounts and its putting severe pressure on their servers?

i also noticed when i was able to ftp in that all the directories are different. i assume that all my cgi will be screwed now

i cant even imagine the pain truehostings resellers are going through. if im totally confused about this, and i know about everything that is going down... can you imagine the resellers clientele? they probably think their host sucks now, causing unimaginable reputation damage.

from what i know, truehostings resellers have great reputations because they offered the great service truehosting had because of ala., but with great support (unlike what people say about truehosting being bad with support and fraud and all that stuff). i feel really bad for those folks right now.

it was inevitable though, and at least now i don't have to worry about my host disappearing all of a sudden (at least i think i dont have to worry anymore... i have no clue who burstnet is or their rep.)

if anyone has dealt with them, could you start a new forum or something about them to let all truehosting clients know what they will be dealing with?

thanx

Burst has been having line problems and tech support problems for quite some time now so expect downages as a normal occurance. I went to burst.net to compare some prices quickly and guess what I get, a DNS error so they were down. I highly doubt that truehosting had "thousands" of customers, mabey 500-800 AT MOST. Burst needs to quit paying their management so much money so they can hire more people to man the phones and tech support. (I could be wrong but for a company that size tech support should be handeled properly, look at their page, half of it is still "under construction") They just grew way to fast and now made another stupid fast and greedy mistake by buying the TH clients.

man o man...

burstnet is so weird. ive never been to a website that was so messed up (for a hosting company at least).

you are right, most the pages there are under construction and some (their message board) are 404 not found. im glad they are honoring truehostings prices though, the prices and features (space most of all) they offer to their own clients are outrageous.

i already miss truehosting... sure it would take them 3-4 days to answer tech support and sometimes they wouldn't even answer. but the service/account features was what i wanted. i was so pleased with them too... that when i read the posts by those upset clients i could not believe it.

anyhow, i want at least 98% uptime and not two days have gone by with burstnet and its been down (not up) over 60% of the time. what gives burstnet? oh yeah, i actually got into my account by ftp and my cgi-bin is missing... wtf!

i wonder how they will handle the billing stuff too. i paid for my account for the whole year, burstnet better now that and not try to charge me extra! *sigh* i hate change, i hope this turns out to be a good change... if not i'll probably never come online again for a very very long time.

guess i should email their support team now with these complaints, but who knows if they will even reply.
