    About WordPress

I see most high load websites use WordPress, and 90% people don't know why some plug-ins cause high load.

Any hosts here have similar experience and how to deal with it?

Some plug-ins do use high load, and the only way to really bypass it is to disable the plugin itself. Usually, from my experience, bad code is what causes the high load, often times when a process gets "stuck" or loops continuously. The best thing to do is contact the account owner and explain the situation. Sometimes this may require you to temporarily suspend the account, but it would be different depending on your situation!

    Good Luck!

It may be worth having one of your coders look at the wordpress plugin in question, A lot of the time these issues can be fixed relatively easy and with very little time, and the customer will be glad you did it. Make sure you talk to your customer about the issue first before you start digging around in their code. In my opionion its best to keep the customer happy, and spending a few minutes of time to fix the issues is much better than having them leave.

There are a lot of wordpress "specialist" coders. I recommend you grab one of them and make him kind of permanent contact or something. Most of the code related problem can be solved by a smart coder.

I agree with what has been written, in many cases plugins don't scale very well, especially with regard to the SQL queries being used. With a little bit of time and effort, this can be fixed more often than not, and most WordPress plugin developers will be more than happy if you provide them with a patch.

The two most important things are:
    1) Tell high load customers to turn off some pluggins (some are written very poorly)
    2) Encourage all WP based customers to use WP SuperCache

Great suggestions there, would have recommended WP SuperCache as well. Just turn it off when you're working on your site and are trying to make changes because it will keep serving you the cached version. However it helps reduce a lot of load and is definitely worth it if you have several customers using WP.

There is option to not use cache for logged in users. So you can enable this option instead of disable it completely.

it really depend on the plugin, cause WP it self is not High resource. I have few clients who has run autoblogs with low consume resource plugin. And so far so good.
