(Fremont CA, December 14, 2010) BuyVM (buyvm.net), a leading North American provider of OpenVZ-based virtual private servers (VPSes), announced today the deployment of several exciting new customer-oriented services intended to cement the company's reputation as an innovative and feature-rich hosting provider.

FUSE Support: BuyVM customers are now able to employ the open-source Filesystem in Userspace, or FUSE, system, allowing them encrypted access to remote filesystems (SSHFS) among many other exceedingly flexible features. For a complete list of supported options, please see the FUSE website.

Private IP Addressing: All of BuyVM's OpenVZ servers now come standard with a private IP address, permitting unmetered data transfer between servers within BuyVM's Fremont location. Customers whose VPSes lack a private address in the 172.16.* range need merely reboot their machine at their convenience in order to receive one.

Hosted DNS Service: Available from the second half of December, BuyVM customers will be able to request free access to BuyVM's hosted nameserver cluster, and receive industry-leading DNS service for any of the customer's domains, including full control over A, CNAME, and TXT records.

Free FTP Space: Accompanying the DNS service will be five gigabytes of complementary storage for all customers, allowing them to host backups, offsite status pages, or other data which they wish to benefit from secure nightly backups.

Offloaded MySQL: Starting from less than one dollar per month, customers will receive access to powerful dedicated MySQL servers, backed by dual quad-core processors and blazing-fast eight-drive RAID10 arrays. Already in service with many websites and forums ranging in size from 300 to more than 2,000 concurrent visitors, this innovative service will easily allow customers' websites and applications to scale and grow with minimal expense.

About BuyVM: Launched in June 2010, BuyVM provides unmanaged OpenVZ-powered virtual servers to thousands of customers from five continents, and successfully complements Frantech Solutions' premium Vmware-based VPSes.
