I'm testing currently out a webserver, I just changed from normal webhosting, to an own windows server, as I need it to run some applications.

But how can I access the harddrive of the (V)Server from my home pc? So like adding an network.

Can someone point me in the right direction? This should be possible.

I get lazy when I work on a file on my webserver, then upload it on gmail to download it again on my home computer.

Depends on the version of your Windows you may be able to setup a (proper) VPN server on it. Or alternatively you can use something like Hamachi to setup a basic VPN.
