What server counter do you use?

Currently i testing piwik, but it's data representation kind a suck, only way to get detailed stats is it to export in file and i would rather see such info in browser. And also seems it doesnt recognize mobile traffic as special traffic(where traffic coming from mobile phones would show in special panel).
Also i found overview on this url:
http://linuxandfriends.com/2009/12/0...tics-software/
but seems to me none of this counters isolate mobile traffic.Or i am wrong?

For analytics software, I use google analytics. Anything that simply analyzes your server's log files is not going to be as accurate as something that can run a javascript on your pages, since it can better keep track of unique visitors and also gather other information through cookies and web browser client variables. So usually these days people use third party analytics, yes.

Piwik doesn't analyze log files, it works by placing a tracking code on the website.

I use both Google Analytics and Piwik.
