What's the worst/oddest/funniest accident you ever had?
I've got two:
1.
In Jan 1998 I drove up to my business and before I went into my building, I threw a small bag into the dumpster next to the building. This was one of those 6' tall bins with heavy steel lids. Accidentally, I dropped my keys in as well. So I lifted one of the lids up and "propped" it standing straight up. I peered over the side to see where my keys landed and the lid decided to come crashing down. It came down straight on my head, and my head was squished between the lid and the sidewall/lip of the bin. Let me tell you, those lids come down with quite a force. Try dropping one sometime.
So I was pinned there for about 10 minutes, stunned, disoriented, nobody around to help. I managed to lift the lid and crawl inside my building on my hands and knees. One of my employees actually fainted when she saw me (pretty bloody). Had a concussion as a result. Ended up having spells of "blacking out" for about 3 months afterwards.
Still hurts when I think about it...
2.
In 1983, I started a spring water bottling business. I went up on a Sunday to sanitize a 1000 gallon tank I just bought. Nobody else around. So I turned on the water coming into the tank (about 3 gallons per minute of COLD spring water (came directly from the spring under the building). I crawled down into the tank through a 24" manhole on top (in the days when I could actually fit in a hole that size). I started scrubbing the walls, then had to climb out. Well, I systematically broke all the rungs on the "home-made" ladder I had built. So I was stuck in a tank (10' high), COLD water flowing in, no way to get out, nobody to help.
I had several hours to think of how my life was to come to an end that day. When the FREEZING water got up to my neck, I had to start treading water. I did that for TWO HOURS STRAIGHT. When I finally got up near the top, I managed to reach up and crawl out.
Definitely the most harrowing and frightening experience of my life.

My worst accident: I met my wife online and got married to her 6 years ago.
Oops. My 2003 resolution: finalize my divorce and find someone that loves and respects me.
PS I am getting drunk tonight so watch out for midnight domain freebies

I was like 17 years old and was into fast cars
Well I had a 67 chevelle,
I put a 455 rocket with a jericho 6 speed. in it.
You can see where this is going hu?
Ok we were test driving it with a buddy on a highway and he says ok i know this road we have 4 straight miles of road punch it. So i did I think we hit about 140mph when all of a sudden the road came to a t intersection with a big drop and a field ahead of us. Well It was like a split second and we were airborn hit the field managaged to stay upright spun about 7 times crashed through a concrete irrigation pipe and then stopped.
Well i was pretty bloody and had broken the steering wheel in half my friend had nothing happen to him. He looks at me and says holy **** we should have been high for that.
Well it was a horrible walk back to the highway the cops came we ended up going 215 yards into this field. And the cop said the only thing that probably saved our lives and stopped us from flipping/rolling the car was the speed we were going.
That is my scariest/worst moment.
Btw I still have the car. I bent the frame up broke the rear axle and some other stuff.
But now its restored and has a new engine in it.
O ya it took 2 tow trucks to pull the car out.

I was 'accidentally' accused of shooting a high member of a motorcycle gang once (I really didn't do it). Their enforcer came to have a 'talk' with me. Luckily he was more scared than I was. It almost started a war.
I'm a yuppie now. More money in it (and safer)

My worst accident was when I was 3, my mom was cooking french fries in a deep fryer and walked out of the room for a minute to answer the telephone, I wanted to put some fries in the fryer and ended up tipping the whole thing over onto my head. My 5-year old brother then came in and slipped in the hot oil.
After that she got rid of the deep fryer and didn't buy another one until 2 years ago, heh..
Other than that I've never broken a bone or anything.

One time I shut the garage door on my head. That hurt. Don't ask me how I did it, because I'm not even sure how I did it.
Then there was this one time I was practicing soccer out in my backyard. Well, we also keep our dog tied up back there so there was like one of those stakes in the ground. Of course, I was screwing around and tried to do a half volley and of course I came down and slide across the dog stake. My knee got super-glued up for that. It worked good to get sympathy from the wimmin though. I guess that is one of the good sides to getting hurt.
Of course there was also that one time I got hit in the head with the baseball while I was pitching, but I already told that story, so I won't say it again.
EDIT: I just bit my cheek while talking on the phone too.

I was running around my grandfather's farm when I was a kid and went through the barn into a room that had a kind of very short balcony (about a foot) and looked out over a large room with short grass in it. I ran and jumped off the balcony and landed about 5 feet away - chest deep into manure!
I had to wait for help to get out since I couldn't move.
Yuck!

my 19th birthday my friend and i were in a drinking and driving accident (he was driving, not me)
we hit the structure of a steel bridge at 70-80km, both of our faces went through the windsheild, my knee went through the dashboard too, and I nearly lost my right eye from all the glass.
My friend the driver lost a chunk of his nose, he got 40 stitches in his nose, and 17 along the left side of his head.
I got 33 stiches around my right eye, 11 in my right temple, and a dozen along the top of my left hand.
Friend had to pay the city $7700 to pay for damages to the bridge on top of his charges of open alchohol container and careless driving which made his insurance so high he couldn't drive again. There were no other cars involved and no one else was hurt.

I was driving home from school, and my car slid over the center line during a turn. I hit my friends truck, which pushed him into the median. Broke his axel, etc.. he was fine.
My car spun around a couple times, ended up stopping it on the side of the road pointing the other direction. Almost landed it in a ditch. I was taken to the ER, because I was unable to stand up due to the high heart rate.(I had a heart defect, since been fixed.)
Oh, yeah... at the hospital while doing a CAT scan, they gave me contrast dye, which they found out I was allergic to. Lets just say, lots of vomit and muscle spasms/cramps.

I'm not sure how old I was (6-7 I think) but my next door neighbour's house burned down and the family came to stay with us for a few weeks.
I was in the bath and the 16 year old daughter was either in the bathroom or had just been in it (in Australia bathrooms are seperate to toilets ) and she left her hair dryer plugged in and sitting on the sink.
I was curious so I got out of the bath and grabbed the hair dryer. I got straight back into the bath with it and electrocuted myself.
Apparently when mum walked in a minute or two later, she found me under the water and not breathing. Even though she was a nurse at the time she went crazy and dad ended up having to try and revive me (I was "clinically dead"). He couldn't do it so a guy from the SES (State Emergency Service - cleaning up the wreckage next door) had to revive me while the ambulance was on the way.
Of course, he revived me and I'm now OK.
This is the best story I have, nothing else has happened to me.
