Finally I found the reason why my VPS becomes so slow...

I just decided to move from AlienVPS another VPS today, the load average rise up from under 0.3 average to 1.5 average 12+ burstable recently and I'm wondering what happened until I started looking for good deals on WHT and find this post and your 10$ alienvps promotion last week.

If you plan to host a site over 3,000 IP/20,000 PV, I'm afraid AlienVPS is not a good choice even with their UFO4 plan, but I think their price is good for a backup server or something not serious.

I tried to test the disk i/o, and this is my result:

This is really unacceptable. I've submitted ticket to them and awating replies.

My UFO4 on ny1 node have 11,1 MB/s. On other two VPS that I own speeds are 48,5MB/s and 105MB/s.

Shoud I ask for better speeds, or this is normal?

anyway, for the last two month I'm a happy customer of AlienVPS, but after the takeover, AlienVPS moved my VPS to a new node, my site was down for 8 hours just because their staff confused my VPS with another one.

honestly their support's response is quick and good, but they should be more careful, the problem shouldn't happen in the first place if they didn't get confused of customers' VPSes.

Another thing that disappointed me is they began overselling, I'm not complain about "why new customers can get what I paid $23 for just $10", but really my VPS becomes very slow. Yesterday a simple mysqldump drives the load average to 12+, http response time over 5secs. that's crazy.
