This is probably a dum dum question. I am a total NOOB at all of this networking stuff. You say you allow private proxy? I am looking for something that i can use like a proxy server. A VPS that i can have root acccess to and able to use the internet off of. Browse websites with a "chicago" ip or "detroit" ip. Would this be the service i would get?

That should be fine as long as it is only you logging into the VPS to use like that - it would be against our policy if you were letting other people do that off your server.

I am sure it is not as easy as just signing up, do i need to purchase anything else? No, your proxy would generate out of the one location you choose to have the server. You would need to setup the proxy server - it's not something we could do for you, other than that you don't particularly need to purchase anything else.
