Asking about Ensim...

Need opinions here.....can anyone compare/contrast ensim to plesk and/or cpanel. For the money is this the best deal(I've seen it for $197 unlimited)? Anyone have issue using ensim, buggy, etc.? How are the features compared to plesk and cpanel?

Thank you.

The biggest pain with ensim is when you want to move sites between servers, move entire server or even recreate a site from backup.

It's backup script is crap and does not do things correctly and if you just tar.gz sites you will need to set ownership and permissions of every directory manually.

In short term, ensim is more stable and cheaper. In long term it will need more effort.

By the way from my opinion a CPanel server needs 1/5-1/3 of the time needed by an Ensim server.

You will need to do a lot of customization when you get an Ensim box.

You will need to customize host creation scripts to be able to use domains (you will yet need to add wildcard or normal A records for each sub domain in your DNS.).

You may want to install webalizer as it does not have such thing.

And may other things.
