    APF firewall and OpenVZ

    Hey i read some tutorials about this firewall and OpenVZ but i still dunno what this setting do

    monokern = 1

    Is it good for Open VZ ? Is it possible to secure this type of VPS by APF with this setting? I have not much kernel modules so i wonder if its possible.

    Yes, monokern = 1 is a required setting on Virtuozzo / OpenVZ, and some other special kernels like OVH's.

    Monokern=1 Support Monolithic kernel builds.

    You should change this value if iptables is not compiled as a module. (If you have iptables installed, and APF complains about iptables without setting up the firewall)
