Chances are you are better off building a new laptop.
I am not aware of any laptop that does not have the graphics card built into the mother board itself.Matt Armour

I just ment that chances are he would need to replace the whole system.
What is wrong with the card? Are you looking for an upgrade or is the card gone bad?Matt Armour

Kit, it more depends on your laptop brand/model.
I would suggest doing a good look on eBay. You might find just what you need.❄️❄️❄️ HOSTBLIZZARD.COM --- 100% Canadian Hosting Provider ❄️❄️❄️

Laptops aren't really made for high-end gaming anyway!

Its very unlikely, almost impossible being that you are considering an upgrade, that your laptop has a graphics card that isn't built into the motherboard. It doesn't matter if the memory is dedicated or shared if the card is fused into the mobo.
Its new laptop time

considering laptop mfg's are releasing laptops that way 15lbs+ and have 19" lcd's with sli video cards, I would definitely say laptops can be used for high end gaming. :-)
