    It's Official - Snow Leopard - August 28th!

As per Apple's announcement this morning, Snow Leopard is being released on Friday, August 28th.

I pre-ordered my $29 copy this morning and should be expecting it on the 28th.

I'm excited for native Exchange support! Not even Microsoft can do that.

Microsoft gives these away.... they are called "service packs."

Seriously, I can't wait to see the new OS... worth $29... or free in my case. Guess I don't get excited about these like I did before... small improvements... normally I like one or two things out of the 2,000,000 they mention improved...

You ordered "Leopard?" Good luck if you used ebay.

I'm sure if Microsoft would have came out with Big Vista, that everyone would be saying how stupidly confusing that could be...

The only feature I am really stoked about is the native Exchange support... Entourage just does not cut it!

Next version of Office will include Outlook for Mac...

In a large business, setup for Entourage is not bad... outlook is faster, but manually typing the Entourage info takes maybe 3 to 5 minutes... tops. Hell, until Outlook 2007, had to do some type of manual setup anyway (although, 2003 was less than Entourage)...

No it does not. I find Entourage (and every other program in office for mac) unbelievably frustrating.

Yep... Excel is one of the worst.

What I hate about Entourage is there is quite a bit of delay in receiving mail unlike Outlook. It doesn't really use the push concept but pulls instead.

I don't think I can even run Excel in the background for more then a few hours before it just becomes unresponsive and in need of a force quit.

I was on the fence about ordering Snow Leopard for my MacBook Air, I've had the Air a little over a year (Rev A) but it gets such little usage I don't think it's worth upgrading the OS.

I'd probably be better selling the MacBook Air.
