Must be you. Haven't been down for me for 2 months, except for the server move yesterday. I've got 2 monitoring services keeping an eye on things and the only downtime either one has reported was yesterday, during the move.

Yeah, it's gone to pot again. I sure hope they figure this out. I'm moving to another network very soon though.

We are not "down".
Please get your terminology straight.
We are sluggish on some lines due to a large incoming DDOS attack which we are having problems locating.
Should be resolved shortly.

Recent large DDOSes have also hit FDC (A very severe one, a few weeks ago, in fact). I've had my server targeted in a random DDOS in the past, and the IP on the server wasn't even being used for any sites.

Nocster is great, try it for yourself!
Nocster still appears to be having issues.

Not anymore. They haven't been down since the employment of the new network engineer who was a Senior at MFN/AboveNET and im definetly sticking with BurstNET all the way. They had problems in the past but who hasn't? NAC.net when they opened their gates everyone ran to them, now they have more problems than a 13 year old boy does have spots. BurstNET will never lose my custom, they have by far given me a great service. You guys may think that what they're experiencing is "just another DDOS attack" but you cannot really comment. For all you know it could be a 8gbps DDOS attack, i know a site i consult for who has been under a full 8gbps attack for 8 days coming from 124,000 IPs. Now if the network is undergoing such attack i think you should notice the fact that they are still up and having teams of people working on it to minimalise the effect and not allow downtime. That is another important factor to remember, they are not down, and have not been.

That DDOS FDC had a few weeks ago which you guys class as "severe" because it had a major effect could in fact be the same size as the one BurstNET encountered but the only difference is BurstNET know how to handle such problems an dminimalise effects.

Adam, bashing FDC and making empty assumptions about their technical abilities won't make you or Burst look any better, IMHO. It's basically on the same low level of the first post, talking about Burst being down when it's in fact not.
Anyone who has ever dealt with a DDOS himself can fully appreciate the situation Burst is in now, as we could appreciate the one FDC was in, or we will be able for any other provider out there who will get DDOSed in the future.
Burst is not down, end of story, no need to bash other providers to make it look better.

It looks like it was a MASSIVE DDOS attack, see http://forums.burst.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1748 for details.
