    Outsource support

    Hey Guys

As my business is growing, I will be looking into getting additional support soon. I am looking at a per ticket solution.

I am looking at some 3rd party outsourced support and wondering if some can offer any suggestions or recommendations.

Also what questions should I ask of them, so things are clear on what is supported. I do not want any surprises.

    thanks everyone

    Hi APX,

Please have a look on list of server management and outsourced support companies here

    http://www.webhostingtalk.com/wiki/C...ver_management

    Questions to be asked

1, What is the per ticket rate? You can get it from 2$/ticket, i think

    2, Will it cover L1, L2 and L3 issues?

3, Will you support unlimited reply on tickets?

4, What is the availability of support team? most of the companies, it is 24/7

5, What is the experience level of support team? In most companies, per ticket support is handled by low experienced Admins.

Wow $2 per ticket? Is that per reply or for the entire ticket, regardless the amount of replies?

That sounds like it can get steep. My friend used to get paid like $0.10-$0.20 per reply, but his employer was a scumbag too..

    Thanks for replies everyone

Not it will be for lvl 1 stuff.

I am not sure what the difference between lvl1 and lvl2 is to be honest.

But pwd resets, WP issues, DNS issues, nothing rocket science.

Is there a reason why you prefer a per ticket basis rather then just unlimited work? I think you need to look at costs as well to see if it is worth it to do it that way. You can look at platinumservermanagement.com and they offer unlimited support which is so much better. I don't want to have to worry about having to pay per ticket so makes it easier for me that they offer unlimited amount of work on servers.

    Thanks for your feedback.

I do not need PSM or service like them. I just need lvl 1 support to take care of every day tickets

I have narrowed it down to..

    outsourcehostingsupport.com
    iserversupport.com
    bobcares.com

    Hi,

If you have a growing business, then you should just move a level up rather than to get level-1 support to get projects stabilized quicker and grow even faster.

Everyday tickets can basically cover anything and everything. I understand that level 1 techs is all you are looking for but as Srv24x7 rightly said, there is no point in having a level 1 team doing the same stuff daily. A growing business needs to be proactive to sustain growth and a combination of level 1 and level 2 could do wonders for you.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I really do appreciate it. But for this business venture lvl1 is all that needed.

I found cliffsupport and will give them a try.
