There has been a thread in the Webhosting Forum of this forum on "What is the best and worst hosting you have had as of now." -- The thread has lasted over a year and Is very helpful when searching for a hosting company. I thought something similar in the Dedicated Server forum would be appropriate and helpful...
So what IS the best and worst Dedicated Server services you have had as of now?0

Best experience:
ServInt - Superb network, staff and support!
Worst experience:
has definitely been my short experience with Ezzi.net more than a year ago... - nice support and staff but the network had hickups the whole day!In just two days, tomorrow will be yesterday.0

Best: ServInt - great support, stable, very helpful and flexible.
Worst: Edgehost (now defunct I think) - servers down for days, support terrible, tried to bill me months after we had run a mile.

Best - ServerMatrix. Network has been fine and the odd mistake they did make they fixed pretty sharpish.
Worst - Prowebspace.com. Server was only up for 3 days in first month despite being "managed", and they took the server down a week and half early in third month without explanation when I decided not to renew my contract. Useless.0

before I started hosting servers in house:
Best, Sagonet/United Colo. When they were still at the orignal United Colo, they answered all my q's, picked up phone every time i called, decent network uptime for me, was a bit sluggish at times. When they became Sagonet, Support was amazing, always answer my phone calles. Tech support was a great help going above and beyond their job. Exelent network, always fast, no outtages yet.
Worst in order,
#1, Ev1; on-going hardware problems, Come on now, doesnt take 3 days to replace a hd, especially when you replace a hard drive with a bad hard drive 3 times. and then forget to put all the ram back in.
#3, Nocster, screwed up billing.
#2, Server4you, took 2 weeks to get server, double billed, reformatted server without my asking, never answer phone. I liked network. I was going to run game servers, because of the damn low pings, but that turned into a chargeback nightmare.
Above experiences are from before I started offering dedicated's. Experiences are from beginning of june 2003- around october 2003.Global Datacenter

Can we try to keep on topic? Lets try to keep this useful and not a discussion of BurstNET.

Best Atrivo and valueweb for pricing my experiences with both have been great. Support lacking but very stable and nice network on both. Considering I rarely ever use support no problems there.
Worst FDCServers and sentris. problems after problems after problems with both of these companies.0
