    Have you tried calling them?

I had a similar issue a couple months back and a 5 minute phone call later everything was straightened out.

Are they not giving you your money back after the 30 day period?

Prob just holding your funds for the time being in case of chargebacks but im sure youll get it returned.

Moneybookers is definitely a scam. It has now been 12 days since I received money from a client but Moneybookers refuses to let me withdraw the money. They smell like a Ponzi scheme that relies on new deposits to pay off withdrawals. The company announced in June 2012 that they have a new CEO which is a red flag. I have already filed a complaint to the Financial Services Authority in the U.K.

Also, I read in the fine print that says that if Moneybookers becomes insolvent, users will forfeit their funds. On Wednesday, I gave them all the documents they asked for and they verified my account details. I withdrew the money on Friday and they cancelled my withdrawal without giving me a notice. They then suspended my account after I called because they're "auditing" my account. This is 2 days after they told me they had just verified all my bank documents and removed all restrictions.

It's very clear that they'll give any security reason just to hold on to the money and not let you have it. When I called, they said they don't know how long the audit will take, whether that's one day or one week. Smells like a Ponzi scheme.

    Avoid Moneybookers at all costs.

If anything, Skrill is more reputable than Paypal. Calling Paypal reputable is rather laughable.

Verify your account via the method they are requesting and you won't have any problem.

Reputable? At least paypal return my $9k at good exchange rate. They still permanently locked my account.

Why don't you just phone moneybookers and explain to them your problem?

Or simply verify your account and everything is fine.

    Hi,

we had an account with Moneybookers many years ago, but it seems that the same issues still persist. Now we use PayPal a few years without any issues.

Paypal return my money after 6 months. Does skrill do that?

It's interesting everyone is reporting this as not accepting "your" line of business considering whmcs.com has recently added them as a partner on there website...

I think you'll find the partnership is a few years old now, I joined MB via the WHMCS partnership about 2 years ago to get the 'free' account (no monthly fees).

I've seen a few threads here and elsewhere where people have had their accounts locked/closed because MB suddenly 'don't accept a particular line of business'. I've tried to identify a common behaviour of what people are doing to get blocked as I don't want to suffer the same fate. To date, all I have is people who haven't edited their account details and/or have a MB debit card are safe. Nothing scientific in my observations of course

ha... shows how much I look... Well I was looking at some the declined members websites I could see a few things that stood out to me...

1 - Some offering some form of high risk hosting (eg one offering HYIP Hosting or/and offshore hosting).
2 - Prices are fairly low prices (perhaps MB is targeting a higher per sale average.)
3 - Sites pretty poorly created (Not saying it should be personal but perhaps MB exercises caution when there applicants use themes etc or DIY sites.)

Exclamation Stay Away!! Real Looters of your Hard Earned Money!!

The moneybookers or skrill are real looters of your hard earned money.

If you are from India please stay away from India as I know many IT freelancers or companies will be tempted to withdraw their earnings in different micro job websites through them thinking its easy..

They make double exchanges to their euros which will be hidden from us and make a lot of money out of it, we are the people who loose our hard earned money and these people simply eating out our money relaxing on cooled sofas..

Out of the $463 (USD) I earned in freelancer what i got is $368 !?! (equivalent of what i got in INR) within a weeks..
