Hetzner and problem with Windows License
Hi,
I've got a dedicated server with Hetzner. I've purchased an addon for Windows licensing which costs extra, but I no longer need the license and have asked them to cancel the addon.
But now they want to get paid for December too. This doesn't make sense to me as we're still in November. They refuse to do otherwise and claim they have to pay Microsoft for December as well. Is that even true?!
This is what it says on their site:
The licences for Windows, Plesk and cPanel must be paid for a full calender month, irrespective of the date of order. This means that if you order a license at the end of the month you still have to pay for the entire month.
I appreciate any feedback!

I think they are issuing Invoices 15th of every month. Probably they will calculate from November 15 to December 15 . When did you purchase this server.?

They also have a policy change (properly announced) on their billing.
That might be the case here.

I don't see any terms in the invoice, but maybe it was elsewhere. In any case, after digging trough Hetzner's site in frustration I finally found a clause at the bottom of the Windows Addon Pack page.
Cancellation period: 30 days to end of month

They should be able to remove it but if that is their policy not much you can do.
