Got remote desktop, but I have no internet connection

Hi there- I could install a VNC server and Gnome on a OpenVZ VPS, the performance is good, but still, when I access to Firefox, I can't connect to internet... is this normal?... is an unmanaged VPS so I can't request help with my provider and I was wondering if you could help me.

Is a Fedora Core 14 system, I already disabled iptables but the problem persits, any advise?

Perform traceroute to the domain and share the result. How do you access the site using FF ( using IP or domain name)?

I would agree with tihhc. It could be a proxy problem.

What you want to do is to check your LAN settings and make sure that you are automatically detecting the settings and not using a proxy server for your LAN.

Jaime, also check the resolvers set in your machine. As ssfred suggested, if you are able to access site via IP addresses but not using domain name, your resolvers are incorrect.

No it is not normal. Your computer should be able to open firefox and other browsers. And you are using Linux, right? So make sure you have done , what you are looking for.
