    Configure/Check

How can I check what brand name RAM is installed on my server as well as which port I have? Also I enabled HPET through BIOS but cannot find the program in "All Programs" but nothing.

    Hi

To find out info on your RAM you could use

    cat /proc/meminfo

    or

dmidecode (a lot of output will be generated from this command)

    Hope that helps.

Your Hosting provider should be able to confirm that information. Typically the same brand of RAM is used in the same types of servers. The port speed is also something that should be easy for them to confirm for you.
