Custom Nameservers with A Records and CNAME
Hello,
I opted for a tiny plan and got my welcome email a few hours back. I have a domain registered with Godaddy, so I went there to update my nameservers. But I already have blog.MYDOMAIN.com point to my blog hosted at tumblr through a CNAME and an A Record (as instructed here http://tumblr.com/help/custom_domains). So when I updated my nameservers to ns1.asmallorange.com and ns2... I found that the A Records and CNAME entries vanished (It said that I no longer managed my DNS with godaddy). So how can I resolve this issue? I want MYDOMAIN.com to point to my site hosted at asmallorange and blog.MYDOMAIN.com point to my blog at tumblr. Thanks a lot

When did you updated NS Servers in your Godaddy account?
Usually NS Changes reflects in 24 - 48 hours. In meantime you can contact asmallorange support and ask them to point your subdomain blog.MYDOMAIN.com to tumblr. Pass them link - http://www.tumblr.com/help/custom_domains
They will probably help you with A Record and CNAME since you have switched to them.
Thanks

Yes that is exactly what I did. Opened a ticket and send them all the required details. I hope they will help me out soon. Thanks for your reply.

When you start using A Small Orange to host your domain (and modify nameservers info as mentioned), it becomes A Small Orange's (and NOT GoDaddy's) jurisdiction to let you edit A Records and CNAME (IF your tiny plan with them allows that).
