Hi, i have a team and we are going to sign up for cal and i was going to host a server. I have an Intel Xeon X3320 with 4 gb of ram on a 100 mbit port. I was planning on hosting a 512-1000 FPS server. So only ONE for my team for scrimmaging.
Can i find out how much of the CPU i would use for each specification? I want accurate specs please as i host other things on the dedicated server and it is not using much CPU NOW. But will i believe.
    CS 1.6 1000 FPS
    12 slot
no plugins just cal.cfg and lo3.cfg
    Cs 1.6 512 FPS
    12 slot
no plugins just cal.cfg and lo3.cfg
    Thanks,
    Johnny.

Which operating system do you run?
If it is a Unix server, you can see CPU utilization for each process in top command.
If it is a Windows sever, you can see CPU untilization for each process in task manager.

To host a 1000 FPS server which works as intended (stable FPS) it will take roughly 2.5 the CPU requirements of an equal 500 FPS server.
The same is true when going from 65FPS (HLDS default) to 500 FPS. 2.5 times CPU load.
