    Blog Commenting and your Host

    a while back I left some handmade comments in some computer related blogs
    not even close to spam but I put the keyword into the name field
    then....a few days later I found a .txt file named blogspam on my hosting account.. anybody had a similar experience...

    Out of the rest of the sarcasm, No, I cannot say I have. Depending on what was written, I think that it would be something pointless to upload & how would it get into your account?

    no joke - and who else than the hoster would have the possibility to upload something to the regarding accounts/folders

    Maybe your account was hacked into? Have you contacted your host?

    Never heard of it, it's possible your account's been compromised - what was in the blogspam.txt?
