    Mumble/Ventrilo/TeamSpeak Automation & Control Panels?

    Hello,

I have wanted to sell voice servers off of the servers that I have. Mumble (Murmur), Ventrilo, and TeamSpeak are the three main voice servers out there.

I would plan to do Mumble or Ventrilo. I've search around countlessly looking for ways to automate Mumble or Ventrilo with WHMCS, though I've gotten nowhere.

    I am asking if anyone could help, that knows any of these. My questions;
    • Are there any good Mumble or Ventrilo control panels?
    • Possible way to automate voice server setup through WHMCS? Mumble or Ventrilo.

I would be willing to pay for something that would do this if there are none out there.

    Thanks,

There are a couple of Mumble panels out there, although a couple are pretty good they are not commercial and do require some tinkering to get them to work correctly.

Only TeamSpeak is currently a part of the cPanel/WHM setup, although mumble is a consideration. They are not going to include any Vent capability in the future though due to some restrictions from Vent.

Either way mumble as you know is free, TS3 pricing is not bad and the Vent is not the easiest to get licensing from.

Depending on your skill you could easily integrate mumble either with MaP or PHP mumble admin. Both are current but fairly ugly. However they are effective and depending on your billing system can be integrated as a service. WHMCS does have a plugin for this, I will try and find it.

Haven't tried this personally, but I have researched it before. You can use TCAdmin, which is compatible with all three voice servers, and TCAdmin is (when I researched this) compatible with WHMCS for billing.

TCAdmin is the way to go. It integrates nicely with WHMCS, the only problem is the it lacks Linux support, it is strictly Windows only. They do have a BETA out for linux right now, but I wouldn't run a BETA in a production environment.

I thought about TCAdmin, though I never knew it was Windows only.

I was using it several years ago and it was a pain having to have a Win server just to host it, but it was the best CP that I could find at the time at a decent price. I haven't used it in years as I am no longer in the GS business, so I cannot comment on it's current features. I suggest that you check out their demo and go from there.

But keep in mind though, that you will either need a Win server for it or take your chances on a Linux BETA.

Your best bet is going to be to hire a developer to either customize one of the existing panels to fit your needs, or to write one from scratch.

AFAIK TCAdmin is the only off-the-shelf software that can do automated server provisioning and integrate with WHMCS, but the control panel itself is pretty barbaric.

GameCP was looking at adding Mumble support a couple of years ago, I'm not sure if they ever got around to it or not.

    Hey!
I would go with TCAdmin for the automation. As far as licensing goes, you need to get a license for almost every single on but Mumble or Murmur. For teamspeak to to teakspeakusa [dot] com, the pricing is a $50.00 set-up and file fee, and then $0.11 per slot you sell using teamspeak. For teampseak you will need business paperwork from where you are from (In US, it is sate issued). As far as vent, I do not know much about this VOiP application, but I do not know is a pain to get into there program to sell the servers, and cost more than teamspeak. And you can get a Murmur license for $25.00 to be a approved host, and you get support with them.
As far as the automation I would go with TCAdmin for Linux, even though it is in beta (We use it) and it works like a charm. Also you want to go linux for VOiP as it is more stable and you do not have to restart every 10 days or so like windows. Also TCAdmin has a Advanced WHMCS module in there downloads to connect the two together to get automatic server deployment.

Hope this is helpful and best of luck to ya! If you need anymore help shoot me a PM!

I'll second that. I used TCAdmin about 5 years ago and it was a decent piece of software.

It is great that they are finally coming out with a Linux version, too bad it has taken so long.

I actually use you (CommandChannel) for my Mumble servers, you probably know me as a partner I don't plan to switch from you by this thread ^^
