    Arrow Nigix suggestion

I have to heard about nigix alot in reducing the load. Currently i am using apache with cpanel.

So, i like to use nigix as a proxy but somewhere mentioned ""Beware of the two gotchas here: the sub domains most likely will not work as they have document root pointed to a different place, and as nginx doesn't support .htaccess files for the performance reasons, they won't be obeyed for the file types listed."

    a) So, if use the nigix then subdomains on the site will not work?

    b) All the instructions mentioned in the htaccess files for redirect, seo, RewriteRule will not work?

    Please suggest.

    I use this (free) plugin:

    http://nginxcp.com/

    cpanel forum thread here:

    http://forums.cpanel.net/f189/nginx-...ht=nginxcp.com

it works very well, no problems with subdomains, and you don't have to worry about .htaccess, it will all continue to work as before.

there is any difference in nigixcp and below mentioned link...

    http://figvam.blogspot.com/2008/05/u...apache-on.html

In cpanel forum, someone posted - (Requests to *.domain.com will actually go to *.domain.com when using Apache alone. Now when inginxcp is installed and introduced, the default configuration of inginx does not auto forward requests to *.domain.com to *.domain.com, even though this works with Apache alone.)

I am pretty sure that you could try varnish as well. Unixy has a plugin that allows you to use varnish. Give that a look. I think they offer a trial.

Are you using v2.2 or v1.8?
