Any shared hosts that allow compiled C++ binary executables to run from cgi-bin?

Tried GoDaddy, HostGator, and BlueHost. None will allow it. Any ideas of a host that might allow it?

I don't know many. That will be hard to look for one on shared hosting.

What sort of application is this? In many cases, hosts will not allow this but it would depend on the application

I'm not sure of any shared host that allows that. Have you thought about going the VPS route? It's pretty inexpensive now a days. What software is it that you need this for? There is probably directions in the software unless its custom built by you.

I second the opinion for a small VPS node.
You should not have issues setting it up and getting it rolling.
Than executing applications will not be an issue.

Get a budget VPS and you should have no problem. You should only spend about the same amount as shared hosting and run apache as your webserver. You can use free control panels such as webmin or virtualmin, but running headless maybe best. you can use SIM to easily restart services or create a bash script and run on a cron. As for your DNS, use your domains registrar, unless you plan on automating hosting setups.
