An OS is only there to run programs -- it's not supposed to be one itself. It's like the car engine. It doesn't need to "look sleek/sexy/etc". It just needs to run well. It's under the hood. It's not on the hood.

I would think that is has that flat look so it goes will with touch screens. Was that not what Microsoft were trying to achieve with windows 8 they wanted it to work well with desktop and touch screen pcs but they got it wrong if you ask me.Its another vista LOL Vista looked great but did not run smoothly windows 8 looks ugly but runs smoothly.

No.
Just wait for Windows 10 which is amazing so far.
And it's the last time you will upgrade Windows as well. It's the last major version which will be released. Constant updates from that point on.
Also, why upgrade now when can upgrade to 10 for free.
If you have Win7 now, upgrading to Windows 10 will be completely free.
Instead of paying and making 2 upgrades. Just wait and make one last one and for free.0

Win 7 for the Win!!!
I have Win 7 on a few machines. Miss XP. Have one that came with 8 and only use it to play Asphalt 8. Other than that I would wipe it out.0

Windows 7 is the most I am willing to upgrade. I really don't like Windows 8 and above. I hope Microsoft will start producing OS that are similiar to Windows 7, or I wonder how I am going to upgrade.

I prefer windows 7 in almost everything. Windows 8/8.1 still has lots of bugs.
