Cpanel Backup - Does this sound right?
HI;
I setup s3fs on a vps yesterday connected to amazon S3 for backup. I turned on Cpanel backups, incremental, and set the backups to use the mounted directory. They are individual file backups so that Cpanel can run incremental.
It did start running backups overnight, and some things are backed up. I checked and it is a bit over 500Mb.
Two Questions;
1. Why would it only have backed up 500 Mb so far? There is 10GB + of user account data. The VPS is at linode so it is on a 40Mbps connection. It there a log or report I can examine to figure this out?
2. I looked at amazon this am, and it reported this for my use on the bucket:
PUT, COPY, POST, or LIST - 44,724 Requests
GET -- 136,441 Requests
For only 500Mb of data, this sounds like a huge number of requests. Does this sound like it could be normal?
Thanks,
Jamie
Note:
I see about a 4Mbps spike started around noon, so it appears to be backing up some more stuff.Last edited by jamiedolan; 03-15-2011 at 01:28 PM.

Lots of emails ? Per request is per file count, so if you have lots of emails, that could be a reason.
